Personally I think it is quite a good written guide. Especially for beginners because it is written with simple yet clear phases which targetting beginners.
The owner of Snomie website is a Singaporean. He quited his university in Australia after his first snowboard experience, and went to Whistler to learn snowboarding. In 5 year he put almost all his time and effort on snowboarding only and worked his way up to a pro-rider. After that he found that it is not really fun to be a pro-rider so he stopped that and created the Snomie website mainly for sharing Snowboard info and do online coaching as a business.
